Luxury real estate expert in Malibu, Chicago and Miami. also a TV personality, Singer and motorcycle enthusiast . Cmon!
I moved to Downtown Chicago in 1980 to pursue a career in entertainment. I loved nightlife and rock n’ roll! So the first thing I did was promote concerts and eventually opened up my own nightclub, which was called Avalon Nite Club in 1986. My band the Downtown Scotty Brown band played every week for 10 years at various locations in Chicago. I ran a jam night and artists like Billy Corgan, Buddy Miles, Steven Tyler and others would sit in. After visiting L.A., I realized that there was a lot more opportunity there and, you know, the weather didn’t hurt! So I sold the Avalon Nite Club and moved out here to further my career in entertainment. When I got here I started a promotion and marketing business. After a little while I became a personal manager for Scott Weiland, the lead singer of the Stone Temple Pilots. Then I went into the movie business, I started working as a location scout and manager, and worked on more than 20 film and television shows. Doing this gave me an extensive knowledge of the L.A. area which would later help me with my real estate career.
I’m also a certified chemical dependency counselor and co-owner of SOBA Recovery Center a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center in Malibu. Since I knew the L.A. area so well, I decided to go into real estate and Malibu was my favorite location. I was able to utilize my clientele list from the entertainment business and my background in promotion, marketing, and sales really helped me to excel and become a top producer. I was chosen to be one of the real estate agents on Bravo TV’s “Million Dollar Listing” which became a hit. In 2007 I was diagnosed with stage four Cancer. After two years of surgery’s and chemo I decided too ride my motorcycle across the country for a year to see where I wanted to spend the rest of my life, so thru the grace of God and you people I’m still Rocking and Rolling. Cmon!
